Audio Q
I replaced the head unit on my 95 W124.... Problem, radio is working, but when i switch to cd i dont get any sound,cd is spinning inside song play time is running but no sound. I dont think its my head unit,my friend told me it might be amp problem(if there is one?)
or some way how to connect wires. Anyone have any idea whats going on???? Thanks!

you should get some sound out of the speakers, i would think...
what you need to do is pull out your head unit, and attach a spare speaker directly to it and make sure it's actually outputting sound.
your car has an amp in the trunk that may need to be bypassed, which is how i did mine. it should be on the right hand side of your trunk behind the trunk lining, under the hinge for the trunk

i'll see if i still have the stuff from when i did my car, i managed to figure out most of the wires.
the error would seem to be on the head unit side though, i think you hooked up the illum from the car to the audio interrupt on your deck.
look at the wiring again, make sure the PINK AND BLACK wire FROM your HEAD UNIT is hooked up to NOTHING. the ORANGE wire should be hooked up to the illumination wire from your car...
good luck!
