I agree our cars aren't the nicest to see, I like to see whats different. Its about age and where your coming from. I remember when spoilers and bodykits of any kind were hated. And now look how everyones all about them-well AMG atleast. A few years ago the hid and clear and smoked headlights were said to be so ugly and now look how many of you have changed for those. Right now all the talk is for turbocharging, and to be honest I ratherbe superchargered- just think about it instant power easier installation and v6's would be so much stronger than the v8's then. All the bashing guys do about ricers and look slowly where we are all getting closer to doing eventually......Last month we were talking about how awesome street lights are. I think nice big rims make any car look better, and most of the time thats the truth. And why do you guys hate chrome rims so much?

If I didn't see the Mercedes emblem I would have first thought it was a chrysler 300

The irony being the Chrysler 300 is the w210 e class with new sheet metal :P I dont like chrome rims because they look too shiny. I like machined, gun metal, or painted. More subtle IMO. Some cars can rock the chrome, others can not. Its a tough call.

Nevermind on the flat black paint job we where talking about in the other thread. Seriously, some people need to get away from the bondo and fiberglass. It's one thing to make it look different but to have it look like a space ship that's something else. I also don't know why some people think everything has to be molded in...

Didn't you have plans to do something like that to your rear window?

Yes but it was because I had a lorinser rear window spoiler but i decided to sell it instead of wasting it on my car.

i remember that red ce as having both a supercharger and nitrous kit in it... so the bigass front splitter is actually providing some real downforce i believe. i could be wrong though.

I've never seen AMG or other respectable styling company kits being hated on. Most of the benz forums out there are those that love to mod..except mercedesshop. The talk of turbos in here only comes from the fact there were turbo kits made for our cars, if superchargers had been then we would be wild about that.

I agree most of the chrome/smoked/black housing and HID headlights on here are a disgrace. Chrome isn't nearly as bad as those..but yes, chrome wheels will never really be respected my purists. Probably has something to do with all the huge chrome wheels you see on suvs/300s/cadillacs/1987 oldsmobiles

I some what agree with you, but you only get to mod a 124 once in a life time, why not put some 2008 on it, newest 124 is 13 years old....

Care to elaborate why Fredric?

and by 2008 I dont mean mirror turn signals or anything like that.. All I'm saying is I find nothing wront with HID's and some dicent looking projectors, and Zeds are custom made , you have to appriciate anything custom made by anyone...

I dunno. I live by the 'period correct' way of modifying cars.
While I do appreciate the creativity many W124 owners have
used in modifying their cars I like mines to reflect the period
in time they were released to the world.
