center console removal
HI
I am looking for any info on removing the center console on my 260 e.The woodgrain vinyl is pretty much destroyed and i want to cut in a peice of carbon fiber laminate that goes from the dash back to the armrest area. also i am not sure how the shift boot (automatic) area is removed.
Any help is appreciated

The console between the seats is simple. You slide back the wooden cover (if you have one) and there will be a couple of screws down in there. After that, the wooden console around the shifter is easier.
There will be a screw staring you right in the face at the bottom of it (closest to the back seats). Unscrew that, and lift it up. But before you do that you would probably want to remove the plastic shifter surround so you don't break it.
