Audi 5 spoke fit our cars?? Opinion on 16" or 17"

My 300E sedan in Ice Blue is about to turn 65 K that is and she needs some new wheels. I don't want to spend to much preferably less than $700 with new tires. I like the Borbet B, 5 spoke design but have come to realize that Audi A4 wheels are 16" having 5 x 112 bolt pattern with 45 offset. I think they should fit perfectly but don't know about using my existing lug bolts or if there is a potential rotor caliper fit problem...

Anyone know for sure??

I realize 17" looks better but am concerned about changing the character of the ride and already have a E36 tuned for performance...

Thanks!!

My understanding is that the hub centre that aligns the wheel on the hub is the wrong size and most Audi hubs will not work, regardless of the bolt pattern. A wheel shop could tell you.

BTW, 17 for sure!

for sure they won't fit

the hub bore on mercedes is 66.56mm

the hub bore on audi is 57.1mm

how do i know, i used to own a wheel distribution company

so MB wheels will fit on Audi with a hub ring, not the other way around

It's all in my other post just gotta click the search button...

I've bored out wheels and made sleeves for the 12mm bolts to fit on a mercedes. True they don't fit as-is but you can make them fit....
