hi all

what is your favorite place to order parts for an '88 300e

the rear main, the front pump seal (input seal), pump o-ring, pump gasket
flex hoses to and from the tranny cooler, coolerlines banjo bolt gaskets at the tranny.

i like to buy quality without paying for the namebrand places advertising and overhead.

thanx msj113

Rockauto.com has some Bosch stuff and a bunch of ACdelco re-manufactured parts as well. For a lot of items "parts is parts" especially the under the hood stuff. I know some would disagree with me and others will only put OEM brands on their rides which is fine, to each his own. I have never had any issue with a reman part yet and you can save 60-75% of the dealer or OEM brands. Remember it's a 88 300e and not a 07 s500 and you'll be fine with the cheaper stuff re-manufactured in the states

newbies questions, thanx folks

good mornin to all yall

hey thanx for the quick responses. its always a gas to get info from good sources.

in the next week of two, after the reseal job is outa the way, i will have to find out why it wont crank (the feller hooked up the battery backwards, hit the starter, and let the smoke outa some components) like we all know, the electric stuff runs on smoke....let it out and...
so it must run on smoke.

thus the next question
does anyone have a schematic?
an electric system troubleshooting flowchart?

all suggestions and "poinions" welcome

thanx msj

remember: thoughts become things, think the good ones.
