no power, 95 E320 wagon
My 95 E-320 wagon has suddenly lost power when you try to accelerate. If you attempt to pass another car by engaging the passing gear the tachometer increases a small amount but the car will not increase in speed. I also noticed a humming noise coming from the right rear of the vehicle. Could this be a fuel pump that is giving up? If so is it difficult to change? I appreciate any help anyone may offer!

it may be a lot of things but...
I would start by changing the fuel filter. It is under the car next to the fuel pump(s) towards the rear behind a compartment held by 3 or 4 bolts under the belly of the car. Not hard to do be very careful while working with gas. (i.e. disconnect the battery). Good luck!

Yea, my car just made a humming noise too now. I cant tell where it originates from. I assumed it was the snow tires settling in but...
I also have a hesitation at higher RPM's when I am pushing the car a little bit harder.
Is this just the fuel filters?

I could throw ideas your way all day long but the real place to start is by checking to see if you have any tripped codes. Let the car tell you what's wrong and then go from there.
