power steering fluid low?

So today I got on the interstate and noticed the car was swaying and was becoming quite hard to control, which ended up ruining Mothers day for me. I thought it was a suspension problem but upon checking fluid levels, I came upon this, which was completely unmarked in the owners manual, but I think it's the power steering reservoir.

If that's the reservoir, it looks low. How high is it supposed to be and what sort of power steering fluid should I get to fill it, assuming this is the problem, tomorrow?

It does NOT look low enough to cause a problem.
There is plenty to supply the pump. Sounds more like a pump problem, or something else.

Well, what could cause that problem? It seems to drive fine most of the time but when it's taken above 50 it can start to sway a bit, and I didn't think the power steering aloen could cause that problem...

Forget the power steering fluid. I think you should get the front end checked out... tires, wheel bearings, tie rods, sway bar bushings, steering strut dampner, etc.

W124 pump

I think I see your problem, top up the fluid, you will notice if you look closely that there is a max mark on the gauge.

On the pump itself, to the side of it you will see a nut, on a threaded stud, slacken off the nut and adjust the stud in using an allen key (if I remeber correctly) and then slacken off half a turn. Hold the stud in place and secure the locknut. This will take up that slack in the drive (due to wear) and if not making it normal, will at least reduce the amount of 'swagger'.

try it, will not cost anything.
