found some OEM 5 star wheels.... fitment question
I just found a real nice set of 5 star OEM wheels for a fair price. They are only 16 x 7.5 and were are said to have been purchased for use as snow wheels for a 99 500sl.
I plan on running 215/55/16 General Exclaim UHP. I may later go with Bilstein HD new struts as the front suspension need renewing.
Mercedes uses bolt pattern 5 x 112 and the offset of these new wheels is 41.
Here is the question I am hoping someone can give me a definitive answer :
Is there any issue with using my original lug bolts ? Might these wheels need a different size lug bolt? Is there anyone who knows for sure?
Thanks

the easiest way of determining would be to try them on. this, however, might
not be the quicket way.
so another way would be to wait until someone has tried this using the exact
same wheel onto the same model car. but this relies on someone having tried
this to respond.
how about simply having the seller measure the thickness of the wheel from
the base of the ball seat....through the wheel....to the surface of the hub.
compare this thickness with your rim. you'll have a clear answer whether your
current bolt will match the needs of the new rim.
what i dont know is what radius ball seat is used with the 500sl vs yours, which
is most likely of 12mm ball seat configuration
not be the quicket way.
