2.6 103 AIR INTAKE VALVE
Hi there everyone!
Can someone please help me find where in this car is the air intake valve?

I was told by somewhat of an expert on the 2.6 103 that this is the part that needs to be changed/cleaned. I bought it but I dont know where it goes.
I have a feeling it is in the engine, maybe under the valve cover?
This is only on the 2.6 and not on the regular 3.0 300E.

Yes, it's in the engine ...
That part is an inlet valve and, as you say, it's in the engine.
Unless you are planning a top-end overhaul, you are unlikely to come to grips with these valves - six of them, I think.
The other valve that may require replacement/cleaning is the idle control valve. I tried cleaning mine but replacement was the ultimate answer. I got it from http://www.autohausaz.com/search/pro...ontrol%20Valve

Thank you kindly for your input here, much appreciated.
With regards to the air intake valve, I was told by autohausaz that there is only ONE of these per 2.6 m103 engine. They also said that only the 2.6 has it and not the 3.0. My car is a 1991 300E 2.6, here in LA. The one in London is a 3.0 also 1991, but does not have this particular valve. I believe anyone with a 260E or 190E 2.6 or indeed a 300E 2.6 may actually know.
I hope someone can help as Ive asked a couple of Benz specialists and they dont know. Cant blame them if theyre used to the usual 3.0 all the time!
