The wide body kit was more than just four pieces, to complete the vehicle, there were bumpers, lower cladding, side skirts etc. None of those parts would be of much use without the four piece steel body panels though

They never did a widebody W124 coupe, and he's not sure if BHMA in L.A. ever did one....but he said on the W126 coupes they did use steel in Westmont instead of the fiberglass that AMG had available.
Only reason he stated was that they had a great sheet metal man !!!

I just talked to an individual who worked at Westmont.

The boxed kit 300ce's all seem to look the same, whether or not they are from Germany or Japan, which leeds me to believe that this is some sort of pre-fabricated kit, but I just can't nail down the specifics or any pictures of it

Grill frame is white, grill painted black and chrome grill trim painted white.
Headlights are standard euro's. Lighting is playing tricks, could be because of camera flash.

Docbellpa; was showing my wife your car last night on BAT. We've owned a 300CE for 26 years.....so we really appreciate the tasteful AMG treatment. I've never seen one in the wild! (would be a great option if it were a 3 pedal)
I suspect when people see where the bidding currently is, it quickly separates the men from the boys, so to speak. Best of luck on the auction and you should be proud for being a great custodian of this rare vehicle.
