G'day,
I seem to have a common hard starting and idle issue with my 103 engine 300E. Having read alot of posts on this site I failed to find much info relating to the sensor plate position. [Please note that I am gradually working through all general advice on hard starting and idle problems]
The sensor plate on my vehicle is not resting parrallel to the bevelled edge in the throttle body air intake (diagram in manual shows it flush and parrallel). I, probably foolishly, adjusted its rest position via the pin on top of the fuel distributor so that its highest point is flush with the upper edge of the bevel (as instructed by my Technibooks manual) this change seems to have had no effect on the hard start issue)).
Has anyone encountered a sensor plate resting on an angle to the intake bevel? It just doesn't seem right!
Any Advice Appreciated!
Tim
