Help with vacuum lines

Hi all,

I’ve been trying to put the vacuum lines in my car back together. When I got the car, a lot of the lines in the engine compartment were disintegrated 

I managed to strip some lines and some check valves (yellow cylindrical things) off a scrapped E220. I found the line coming off near the exhaust manifold (grey line in picture) which I assume feeds into the 4 way split rubber piece.

Can anyone help me with what the 4 splits are for from there? I attached pictures of my car and have circled unknowns to me in red.

I tried looking at my grandpa’s ’89 230E but it’s different and in not much better shape than mine and I can’t seem to find helpful diagrams anywhere.

Also, what is the thing circled in yellow? It’s been bugging me for a while

Thanks in advance,
Jase
