1992 400e with CEL code 8 & 27 Please help!
Hi!
Last friday, CEL on my 400E came on all of the sudden. After checking with the on board diagnostic. I get Code 8 and 27 which is
8 Coolant temp sensor-open or short circuit.
&
27 Coolant temp sensor deviation between sensor ciruits 1 & 2.
The car ran fine but can anybody please tell me how do I fix these two codes? And also the location of the Coolant Temp Sendor. Is it the sensor on the reservoir tank?

It most probably is the dual temperature sensor on top of the motor block. It is a 2-wire screw-in type sensor. I'm not sure where exactly the sensor sits in the V8, but in the I6-engines it sits on top of the block next to the rear wall/driver side
