Question PLEASE HELP ME Tickover/acceleration problem

hi, I have a slight problem, when car is ticking over it's ok but as soon as I touch the throttle it goes to cut out(revs drop slightly) car runs fine apart from this just done full service (plugs, oil filters & fuel filter) I think it has something to do with the ourge/ charcaol canister, as if iI disconnect at intake manifold car rev's normally no drop in rev's have any of you out there got any ideas, could it be the purge valve the canister or the valve how can i test these, thanks
