1996 E320 Radio Doesn't Prompt for Code

Hi all and thank you in advance for any assistance. I have a 1996 E320 and after my battery had died, the radio will not prompt me for the security code. I changed the fuse with one of the spares, but still no prompt.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Brian

Thanks Saijin! I'm not sure how to remove

the radio. I see two little slots that look like you can stick a screwdriver (flathead) into, but I can't seem to wiggle it out. Any suggestions?

Yeah, you are going to need the blades to remove the radio. I think the dealership sells them, if not I think they can be had online. An easier solution might be to just unplug the car battery again for a few minutes then connect everything back up. The radio should prompt you for the code then. For me its easy to remove the radio because I have the blades in my glovebox :P

95 e320...sold the rest
You can make your own blades to pull out the head unit. I know when I pulled mine out I had to make my own out of a metal wall stud, 1/4" wide. Make sure you make the notches to pull it out.
