To the original question, What model has the best long term value, Renzbenz hit the nail on the head, imo:

"Interesting. The post facelift Cabs are currently bringing a high price. Interesting given how rare the 93s are."

RIGHT NOW, costs are similar, and 93s are cheaper. But there are 3 times more 1995s than 1993s, so in 25 years, there won't be many nice 93's.

Also, current view of "modern" will have changed at least 5 times between now and then, the facelift w124 will not have any resemblance to modern then.

It adds up to a neon bargain sign on 93s imo.
