Wrong trans fluid can cause a front seal to leak???
I was told that if you use the wrong trans fluid in the 722 automatic trans it can cause the front trans seal to leak. Can anyone definitively confirm or debunk this?

Using some non approved fluid in the 722 trans won´t cause the front seal to leak, unless by coincidence. It might have some other effects on it though, like harsh shifting or decreased lifetime.
You can use the MB original fluid or Dexron III (mobil), which is approved on those trannies by MB.
