how did it take you to replace idler arm?

how did it take you to replace idler arm?

For those who have done this how long did it take you and were there any trick or tips that you may have. Seems pretty straight forward but thought I would ask.

Don't know if your is the same style. Just did mine last week. It was a bushing replacement kit. Had to loosen dual exhaust and pry over a little to remove the bolt. Took about 45 min. using a hoist.

Most likely the same I got the replacement kit with the bolt bushings washer and plate. Good to know about the hoisting. I may do the motor mounts at the same time if I am going to be lifting the engine at all. Thanks for the heads up.

Also what were the symptoms on yours that it was bad. I have some travel at highway speed and the idler arm is the last thing I can think of that I haven't already checked or replaced.

Pretty much did it the same way but without a hoist...

Just finished the idler arm rebuild and motor mount. Engine idles like new. Gotta wait till tomorrow to find out if the idler arm corrected my wandering above 65.
