Dude, you need to fasten that stuff down mang. You have already had your sub yank the wires out of your amp, which is clearly evidence that you need to fix it. I vaguely remember another post you made about the same thing happening a number of months ago.

It's not only ghetto, it's unsafe.

Its very ghetto and dude, come awn, mount those front speakers.. you are loosing a TON of output from the dash speakers with NO baffle...most of the mid frequencies cancel each other out because there is No isolation between the front of the cone and the rear.

and that Amplifier installation and wiring is scary..

can you say FIRE hazard??? Nice car, dude DONT burn it down because of shoddy wiring.

A. Does it look like the speakers are actually installed?
B. And, dude, how is my wiring scary? It's been ran through the entire car, and come out in that panel to the right of the amp (under the carpet). It's not my fault the RCA and remote are on opposite sides of the 18 inch long amplifier.

Anyways, I'm pretty sure I fried my amp anyways...So I think I'm gonna go back to my original plan and get those 2 L7's back.

Have fun making baffles for those front speakers btw. It was a huge pain in the ****! And I will challenge you to spend a Saturday reorganizing your trunk and cleaning up that wiring. You need to mount that amp and fasten down your sub. Trust me.

The box itself is actually has Velcro all around the bottom and it's not going anywhere! Plus, the box is so heavy it's really hard to get it to slide around the trunk on accident.

As for the amp, I think I'm going to make an amp rack on an angle in the far right side of the trunk. The only thing is...I'm kinda short on my RCA and remote wire.. So we'll have to see

just add an extension to the remote wire... as long as you insulate the join well it will be no problem, all it does is turn on the amp... might give you more wiggle room to work with the RCA length.

No offense to Albert but I don't recommend cutting them. Your car will be plenty low enough when you install the OEM H&R's.

That's what I was thinking...plus that didn't sound too safe to me considering I know what happens with stock chopped springs.

your car seems to be sitting a bit high i dont now what those h&rs are gone drop you but if you want that benz low look you might have to cut a coil lol....
btw i am selling the set of my springs i have on mine right now. i am in the process of buying a set of Intrax and cutting those b!itches up too lol

because i know whatever the hell i have in there i know they are cut cuz you cant buy any springs out there that will lower my car like that, and nothing worng with it been driving it for 2 years love it more than ever... i like how my rear sits i just want another quoter inch max .5 in the front and am good... we'll see

no woories pete, everyone has their thoughts right... but almost half of these benz people in here cut their springs.... i just pulled the search menue here and searched for cutt springs and Hell lol so many people done them on their new E clases on their Clks and lots of other models... if you do them right there is nothing to worry about...

As far as I am concerned, the engineering teams at H&R know a hell of a lot more about spring constants and dynamics and how they relate to ride height, stability, and handling than I do and hacking off a few coils in my basement just seems like a fairly defiant way of saying they don't know ****. I do not believe this to be the case. Also, H&Rs are an expensive part to ruin by cutting into. This is all just how I feel, do what you will.

I think about all of this. I plan to get 18's soon, or maybe 19's. So I think with H&Rs and bigger wheels, the wheel wells will be filled in pretty nicely.
