Ground Wire Problems
I found the problem with my system, which was the power wire...of all things 
Anyway, it wiggled itself loose which was causing the amp to turn on and off, and why the sub wasn't hitting accurately. I have the ground located with a bolt and nut in a hole on the right-side wall of the spare tire chamber. Is this a good location for the ground? Or is there a better place to locate it?

the grounding point shouldn't be too far from the amp, like maybe a foot or so, and maybe scrape away a bit of paint or insulation from the tire well to make sure that there's decent contact for the cable
