Front bumper upgrades for 400E?

So, I'm going to paint this car in the spring. I have AMG AeroII wheels that stick out a bit, especially noticeable up front. The stock bumper cover is pretty much destroyed underneath, so maybe it's a good time to replace it. I'd love to find a relatively stock-looking bumper cover that might be a little beefier in order to cover some of the extra wheel/tire that sticks out from the fenders. I'm not looking to get into a major project rolling fenders or replacing with 500E fenders, etc - what I would like is something that wouldn't be too garish or bold, but that would work well with the stock cladding and rear bumper. while still adding some sporty flair - do I HAVE any options?

The wald V4 kit that berti has sticks out a lot at the wheels, but Im pretty sure thats not the look you want. I would look into a replica AMG GenII front bumper. A company called Race On USA makes one that appears to be of decent quality, I'm just curious of the fitment issues that usually come along with replica kits.

Ive seen a couple of their replica kits on a lexus and an altima. The owners said fitment was perfect for their applications. Check them out on ebay. Search w124 body kit and they should come up.

Youll still have the issue of the wheels sticking out a little, but I think the easiest way to solve that, is to change your wheels...

GREAT info, exactly what I needed. I'll probably just do that bumper and paint to match the stock cladding. Yes, ideally I'd have the Hammer Gen I wheels to with the proper offset, but these were way cheaper and they do look good, just a bit wide.

After a couple of hours of googling raceonusa, Ive found quite a few people online from Nissans to BMW's to Lexus's that all have pretty similar stories. Their kits generally require little to no extra modification. Apparently if you call in also, they are pretty flexible on their prices. Is this on the immediate to-do-list, or is it more of an I'd-like-to-get-this-done-eventually type of thing?

It's not immediate, but as I plan to paint it in the spring, I have a new-parts list (bumper, grill, hoodstar, corners and tails which I already purchased, etc) that I need to fulfill by the time I am ready to paint.
