19's will fit but will look silly cause the profile of the tire is so low. Plus even when the car is lowered it will still ride high off the ground.

18's FTW.

Im not worried about the wheel size, im just worried about the 35mm offset if it will rub the inside of the rear or if it might stick out of the fender...if i have to add a spacer im fine with that..

Oh well, it's your call...on the bright side, it'll be a really nice 500E SUV

4 SL65 F1 wheels all the way around.....doesn't look like a SUV to me, maybe normal 300E height. Pretty sure this fellow has stock springs as well. The 19" CLS wheels look pretty awesome also.

500E's should be low and wide IMO.....300E height doesn't cut it. Also the height i am talking about isn't fender gap, it's the distance from the side skirts to the ground. You can't tell in that pic because of the shadows but if you brighten up the pic, it looks kinda goofy.

Whatever though...

The look im talking about is 19" tucking under the fender with 35 and 30 profile tires....thats a good look, sure it wont look off road, ive done it before with my C36 which was dumped and my former E500 that had 18's..but it should work with 19's too...just gotta get rid of the rear shocks....and do the 400E upgrade...

well i dont know if you want to call it an upgrade but its the only way to drop the back of the 500E/E500. You need to change the power steering so you defeat the gas shocks and exchange them for E420/400E shocks. Then you will get a level drop....

You should ask Omegabenz6 about dropping 500's and suspension mods. He has developed and sells, a camber kit and suspension mods for lowered 036's.

Of course, if you're planning to slam it hard, that may be diffferent...

yes, hopefully you're not serious about cutting out the rear SLS.

Thanks for your comments guys...by the way 190-16 that car looks great....as far as 19's on a E500 i think its a great look, I used to have 18" 2-piece monoblocks but it was a more aggressive look with thicker tires....now i want a more custom look thats why i want to go with 19's with a smaller profile....Im gonna check out that 500E board, i used to view scotts but its not available anymore....

Check with Austin(Omegabenz) on Eboard. Same guys as on Ecstasy site, but run by Gerry. Lots of knowledge there.
I think there are cheaper and more effective ways of lowering your car, for the look you want.
Also, you will not detract from the 500E500 exclusivity/desirability of your car if you leave the SLS in. Not to mention, you won't offend the purists who value these low volume (and getting fewer), unique cars.

Good luck with your project.
