Wheel Offset for 95 Cabrio

I was wanting to get some better looking wheels for the cabrio, but still wanted the classic 8 hole machined finish to match whats already on my car. My 1995 cabrio has 15 x 6.5, 8 hole machined (polished) wheels with a 44 offset. Mine have a bit of curb damage. I had looked over the sticky on wheel fitment and thought i had it figured out.....WRONGGGGGG

Anyhow i found some beautiful matching 15 x 7 machined take offs and ordered them. They arrived but unfortunately they are an offset 37 so they do not clear the front calipers.

Anyone with suggestions. Are 8 hole machined Mercedes Ronal wheels that hard to find ?

Could i use these wheels with spacers? What are the negative effects of using hubcentric spacers that are 7mm (roughly 1/4") ? Would i need to put them on the back for handling reasons as well?

Wouldn't et37 have more caliper room than et44 if everything else was equal?

(Never have used spacers)

Doesn't sound right...
AMG 124 rims 15 x 7 had both ET25 and ET35 offsets. 16 x 7.5 were with ET31, 37, 42 offset.
I run 18x8 ET35.

All of the above clear the calipers.
