SL wheels, I think

A friend has a set of what he believes are wheels off a 92 SL. They are 16X8 with a 45 offset. I've looked at the fitment charts. Will these fit my 92 CE or will I need some spacers? If they fit I was looking at running 225 50 16's for tires. Thanks in advance.

Aloha

w124's need an et of 34-35 on a 16x8 wheel and should run 225/55-16...so, you need about 10mm of spacer...hth

You don't HAVE to use those specs. I'm running 215/50/16 on 8" wheels, and the offset is 41 all the way around, with absolutely no rubbing/scraping issues.

Check the W124's Running Gear Thread for wheel fitment questions.

Thanks for the info. I rechecked the wheels. They are 16X8 with a 41mm offset so I think 225/50/16's should fit.
