Hello All. My brother's car, 91 300E 4Matic, needs, according to the dealer, a head gasket and crankshaft seal (leaking oil). We are trying to find a reasonable/good/honest independent shop in the Twin Cities area to do the work. Any idea what this should cost (each job, plus I guess a valve job while it's off the car)?

We were told from a Montana dealer that the head gasket cost $200 and required 10 hours of labor. This might give you a higher-end guess at the cost.
