Glow plugs removal OM605

Tried cu remove the glow plugs in order to replace them, they won't come out. Forcing them is out of the question, they brake quite easily and then this will make me demount the cylinder head.

If anyone has encountered this kind of trouble and has some idea of solving the issue without the removal of the cylinder head, is welcome to share.

W124, E 250 Diesel, '95... The engine was fitted also on W202, W210. This applies also to OM604, 606, Turbo or not. Thank you.

Matter solved, vehicle sold, allowing the new happy owner to deal with it...

For general information, in these cases the only real solution is reached after the removal of the cylinder head and afterwards the removal of what is left of the stuck-in glow plugs thru specific methods and equipment. Once-a-year maintainance in the past would have prevented this kind of Scheise from happening... but this is another story.

...since nobody bothered to close the thread, although a couple of years went by, a sollution was discovered. Since I have no time to check the pages and find out if there is anything simillar already written, I will give the proper answer to whom might be interested in this matter. I have already done it my way on several models, includind Sprinters and CDI models, works like a charm...
