Exclamation 02 Light on

Hey everyone,

Does anyone know what causes the O2 failure light to come on IF the folowing parts have been replaced;

- New O2 sensor
- New OVP

The engine is:
3.0L 24valve, 104 980 model

Just about everything is new on the car but the light STILL comes on, Its driving me mental!!!

Thanks!!!!

have you reset the CEL? IIRC the 02 Sensor light was the rough and early way of saying "Check Engine light," since most CELs were based off of emissions systems more so than other systems on the car.

lots of cars
I forgot where i heard or saw this but i've always done it and my car runs a little better for a while... turn the key to position 2, disconnect the negative terminal for 3 min or tap it 3 times and it should reset the computer....Like i said i'm not 100% sure on this and don't do it if you have a radio with a theft code.
