Price is dropped to $400 for the set...FYI
Coupe.....unloaded the E420 actually. I am going back to enduro racing here in AZ so I am taking the Denali back from the wife to tow the bike trailer. She wanted a Mini Cooper S Cabrio, so the Benz wound up a trade-in.
I will be keeping my eyes open for solid deal on a clean 500E however...

lots of cars
I don't know about u guys but my w124 has been good to me. I don't really like the m119 and m104 engines because they just cost too much to fix. My w124 is always going to be my daily driver but i'm looking for a white w210...

W124's
I think about it everyday - Putting it up for sale or continue to put more money into it. At this point I'd rather put and invest money into a newer car but who knows I might end up keeping it because I'd only want my W124 to go to a good owner.

I know what you mean, a newer car needs less work to look nicer. I'm on the Audi/VW/Bimmer forums all the time but most of the stuff they do is suspension and wheels. It's like berti, once you finish your project it's time to move on. Maybe you should consider a black CE and put your front end on it..

Yeah I thought about a CE as well but I would go with full WALD if anything.
I'm actually looking into Audi A4's and newer E-Classes right now. They are all going for really cheap on Manheim auctions.

make no mistake.....I LOVED my E420.....and I really, really suffered over the decision to sell it. but in this day and age, and with 180K miles, I really didn't have too many options.
It is the weirdest thing about these cars....they are sooooo good, but they are worth virtually nothing. The way I worked our trade-in, I got around $4700....which was about $1200 more than I could get for it on the open market right now....even with the fresh Bilsteins, Vaughtland's and EBC brake stuff.
If I find the right 500E though, I WILL pull the trigger for sure! The W124 is such an amazingly good car overall.

I saw a black e320 for $3800 on a lot down the street and it sold in 1 day! I went to see check it out and the next day it was gone. Maybe it's a different market where you're at but i guess you didn't have to deal with the hassle of selling it. Good Luck, don't be a stranger..

I'm leaving too once I find a good deal on a new car ... I'll miss working on the car tho. great times! now all the new cars require you to bring it the shop and you can't even repair it yourself anymore b/c of the new tech they put in the car. DARN!
