Question 1989 300E Low RPM

When the car engine is cold, I need to put the ignition "ON" for a few seconds before start the engine, and repeat this process 3 or 4 times to get "normal" RPM (aprox. 750). If I don't do that, the engine start a very low RPM (under 450) and almost die.
Any advice? Thanks.

Fuel leaks? Bad fuel pump? Clogged Fuel filter?
