If black get the engine enamel semi gloss black ... it has a nice shine and black color to it. I did that to the engine cover and it loook nice ... But again it's all up to you bro. Plus, black make look clean

I think BLACK, but everything is black in the engine comp. so I thought RED, but it is too red...

That's the red I like.

I think with all the other parts, airbox, wiring covers, etc. installed, the red will not be overwhelming, just peeking through from underneath.

IMO, black or other colours would be so subtle that it would not be worth the effort.

Personal taste, I think.

Yeah that is what I am thinking. I need a reason to pull the valve covers though.

IMO, the red would be most effective on a 119, as opposed to the diesel or 103

Haven't done the degreased the engine compartment yet but here is how it turned out.
