Clicking/Rubbing sound while turning?

Hello all I have a 1990 300E. I've been having a problem. When going around corners or going over big bumps. I hear this terrible clicking/rubbing sound. It sounds like it's coming from the back of the car. My friend who knows more about cars told me it might be my axel which has me scared. Anyway if anyone has any ideas and let me know if you need any other info. Thank you.

I had a similar issue. It was worn "flex joints" ot each end of the drive shaft... Otherwise, it could be a bad rear CV joint.
