1989 300e Transmission question

I have a 300e with approx 200,000 on it, I recently changed the filter and replaced only the fluid in the pan. The car shifts fine except when it gets warm. If I am going over 30+ mph and have to slow down to a slow speed to make a turn the transmission just spins when I hit the gas again. If I slow down to almost nothing or stop I feel the car shift and it is fine until I have to slow down and pick up speed again. Again the car shifts fine all other times and only exhibits this malfunction when warm.

sounds like a tranny problem, sometimes it happens when the vehicle is warm.

when you change the transmission fluid you should also change the transmission fluid in the torque converter.

I am in the process of doing a complete transmission fluid change, so I'll see how that goes. I was wondering about the vacuum modulator being the problem since the slippage only occurs when the transmission is warm.
Another question, where is the kickdown switch located on a 300e?

Is the kickdown under your gas pedal?...that is what Mitchell says.
