I do not have the procedures, but you are welcome to borrow my crankshaft pulley holding tool which I bought for the C32. Believe it should also work for your engine.

Have you been running too much oil in the sump? There is a TSB from Benz on the matter that calls for dip stick measurement modification to be Between the marks measure HOT [ normal operating temp]. They no longer want the the max line when hot to be used . The middle [ between the high/low marks] when at operating temp is now considered ideal.

The new capacity is now 7 liters, down from 7.5 lilters [7.9 qts to 7.4 qts] w/filter.
They recommend editing all owner manuals as such. This change was made to reduce the pressure on the crank seal.

Thanks, Kestas. Did not know about the reduced requirement and will follow in the future. Don't know if that caused it, or the 248k mi on the engine.

There is a simple 10 step procedure in ALLDATAdiy.com complete with a diagram and specs for your E320. There are also a bunch of TSBs on the engine seals in your Mercedes, including the one mentioned.
