ok well here it is my aunt owns a 95 e320 and her trans went out it is auto, so i got another trans and installed it, it dirves fine but the only thing i cant figure out is why it will only up shift when i let off the gas could this be a simple detent cable adjustment?? if so how do i do this thank you guys for any info on this problem.

 

Sounds possibly vacum related. Have you checked all connections are tight?

Did you do the swap?

 

i did the swap , i have checked all the vac lines they are all tight .... is there a chance that one of the vac solinoids on the trans are bad?

 

any other things it may be?? should i just elimnate thinking its a detent cable issue?

 

maybe trans computer, also check vacuum lines and rubber hoses for cuts/ dry rot

 

ok where is the trans computer located at? ill double check the vac lines again.

 

anybody else have any input all the vac lines are good on the trans.is there anybody on here that can get me the detent cable adjustments ??
