ground clearance on W124 sedan

I am wondering if owners would not mind checking how many inches of ground clearance they have? I only have 3.5 inches under the lowest part of the exhaust near the center of the car and scrape easily. I replaced all the muffler hangers and got less than a half inch improvement. My tires are 205/55/15 and the car is stock with only 75K miles...

Shocks? Sagging springs? My exhaust is OEM and in great shape...

thanks

I think I have like, 5-6in on the bottom of the sideskirts on my 300ce and that thing is on original shocks/springs from 1990. I know it was enough to enter the PBX rally which requires 6in clearance.

thanks but the sideskirts are higher than the exhaust,... especially at the center of the car. A 2" x 4" is 3.5 inches wide, and barely fits below the lowest point on my car. I need 2 more inches of ground clearance...

Your tires are a bit smaller in diameter from the original spec which is 65. Also, you can adjust your ride height by replacing your spring pads/shims.
