Rear windows not working - 1993 300e
My rear windows are not working, the consul switches font do nothing, and the ones on the doors themselves don't work.....
i hear an electric click sometimes when i hit the consul switch. the sound seems to generate from the rear seat close to the door behind the driver...
any ideas![nix](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/nixweiss.gif)
thanks, my first post here

Just cause you hear the click of the relay, does not mean anything... check your fuse's under the hood.. a relay is a smaller power source in control of a larger power source which may be using a different power supply.. Think simple first. My rear window's blow the fuse cause they were never used by the previous owner

Ok,
so i could not figure this out ...the thing under the rear seat is the convineince model, i don't think it affects the rear windows....i checked are replaced the fuse (fuse H) and nothing ...interesting enough, with the lights on at night, the rear window switches are lit...

Test the relay, I believe it's under the fusebox. Some are the same model so you can swap them.
To test the switch, remove the console panel and swap the other rear switch. If both don't work you can try to jump the connections in the socket.
To test the window motor, take the door panel off and apply 12v power to the terminal block (2 screws where the motor wiring and harness meet)
Sometimes the wiring at the motor gets disconnected or loose, inspect it with a flashlight. It may just need to be soldered.
If not the wiring, the motor may have failed and must be replaced. New replacments are less than $100 and you can find used for about $30 - 50
