'95 E320 Stock Stereo?
Just a quick question with the stock stereo on the E320... Are the speakers amplified already? I just plan on changing the stock radio with a Pioneer CD Player and adding an amplifier and subwoofers I removed from my old 240SX that blew up.
I saw a youtube video of a guy demonstrating how to use the radio keys to remove the radio and he mentioned that the stock stereo system is bose and if I planned to change the radio I would have to change the speakers and all the wiring and stuff. Is that only on certain models? I don't see BOSE listed anywhere on the stock radio so I assume I'm safe.

So the quick answer is no the speakers are not separately amped. The E320 came with a Becker radio that drove the dash and rear shelf speakers directly. You will have no troubles hooking up to those wires.
The amp in the trunk drove the mid bass speakers in the lower front doors.
The BOSE radio was in the S class cars of that era.
You can find more info about your stock Becker at beckerautosound dot com.
