Lightbulb DIY:300E w124 89 Preventing Tint scatches

Alright here it goes, my first tutorial / project for my 300 E w124 1989

The steps will come in phases like any good, slow moving project so bare with me and ask questions so I can improve the tutorial

Step
1. Door Panel Removal

Rear Door Panel Removal



Front Door Panel Removal

(under construction)

2. Crimping and riveting preexisting felt

(under construction)

3. Tinting window with Marathon film

Thxs, I'm removing the front door panels this Sunday and having it tinted Monday...Cant wait!!! for the tint....its 100+F in Cali and I refuse to use an air conditioner

If all goes well, I'll have pictures up on Tuesday! that is...if the gods are good to me

I'm bound to finish this post but in the mean time. This is what the car turn out and it totally changed the appearance of the car. Highly recommend Johnson Window Films Marathon Style.


It's a semi-metallic 3 ply film that provides one of the best heat rejection and optical clarity. The front windows are 25% and back 20% limo. I can see perfectly day and night, looking out but not in...
