Audi 100 TQ Sport Exklusiv
M104 CIS-E
I'm considering buying a w124 300-24 with Bosch KE5-Jetronic (CIS-E).
I have owned a few cars with Bosch K-Jetronic (CIS), and Bosch KA-Jetronic - I believe only Audi used this - and these systems have never given me any problems. They are very similar.
Friends of mine have had cars with KE3-Jet (CIS-E), and their cars have had lots of trouble. Except for leaky injectors - a normal CIS/CIS-E-problem, what problems can I expect from the CIS-E on the M104 3.0 24v?

Depends on the day
I have a CIS M104 in my coupe and other than the leaking injectors??
That's a tough one. Not much actually. Fuel pressure regulator can cause the same symptoms as the leaking injectors. Vacuum hoses are brittle and after so many years can crack easily and cause lots of weird issues.
It's basically like a lot of other engines. There's really nothing too much to worry about with the CIS M104s. I love mine.
