thank you for the advice.
I am still waiting to the engine completely cool down.
If it makes the noise when cold start, it's the lifters. How can you tell which one is bad after take off the valve cover?
I found one e320 at a junk yard, and I can get lifters from it, but I want to know how to check which one is bad.

85 euro w124 300d non turbo black on black......coming soon hx35 turbo intercooler
As long as the noise is going away ur good cold start or not. That means when the noise goes away the lifter is doing its job.
If you want to get a new lifter its a hit or miss. find were the noise is and hit or miss. Get a dow or cut a broomstick handle put one end to ur ear and the other on top of each cylinder it acts as a stethoscope. (poor mans)!!!!
Remeber it might and might not work get 2 or three from the junk yard.
Anyone whos reading its a quick fix this pooor guys dumped lots of money into the engine doing it as cheap as possible.

Usually I use a screw driver to pin point any noise from the engine bay. I could hear the tapping noise a lot clearly at the back of the engine where #6 cynlinder is.
I will test drive the car now since the engine is cooled down.
I will let you know guys how it is.

Ok, I test drove it and the noise is gone. No more tapping noise.
Thanks guys. 15w40 disel oil is the bomb.
I bought a iron wire to clean up EGR valve and pipe. I will do this after the engine cools down.
