Nice looking vehicle.
It is good that it is LHD, I would not recommend a RHD to anyone. With RHD, you have major safety issues like making left turns at busy intersections. Also, ICBC is collecting which vehicles are RHD, and maybe in the future they may ban them.
If you do buy it, let us know what you paid and tell us how many miles or kilometres are on it.
The good is they are great cars, the bad is with high mileage the repair bill can add up. I agree, 20 years on, they are a timeless look.
Welcome.
Given that its a 1990 model, there won't be any VIN encoding for any AMG accessories that might of been installed by AMG of Japan. The wheels are not period correct for 1990 and the rear emblem design wasn't in use till 1992. The body kit appears to be correct for that model year, aftermarket body kits are fiberglass, Gen1 and Gen2 authentic AMG body kits are made from a plastic material which is flexible, but I have also seen "copies" that are made from duraflex, which is a flexible material also. AMG part numbers are stamped into each body kit piece, but may not be visible once installed, plus, they could of been filled in before paint.
I emailed the seller and asked for pictures of the engine bay and interior, but again, he/them never replied, so I can't comment further nor am I able to tell you if this is just a regular 300e with some AMG parts on it or an authentic AMG of Japan vehicle. Vehicle sales history helps in this area.
Post pictures of the interior and engine if you can get the seller to provide.

Seller is in New West?
Is he a dealer?
Someone has brought over several of these Japan spec AMG's to Vancouver. There is/ was an Almandine or purple one around town and I occasionally see a 199 Black car, in Burnaby. All look excelent.

Nice car. Hopefully you'll show it to us at the next GTG.
With low kms. a fluid flush is the best thing you can do. Often these low-milers do not get their oil changed often enough. It should be done by time not mileage. Don't ask me how I know!
Also, be aware, suspension rubber bushings and assorted seals have a tendency to dry up, causing suspension noises, vibration or even sloppy handling. Check rubber driveline Flexdiscs, they dry up and crumble with age.
Hopefully, I'll see you around town.

Because of maintenance neglect by PO, my timing chain guides had deteriorated (Bakelite) and I had to have the whole front end done, at only 80,000km!
I suggest you stay with Dino oil, NOT synthetic - the seals may leak with synthetic in these older engines not designed for it.
looking forward to meeting you.
