Blower/Radio problem

I just purchased a 1991 300e and the radio doesn't turn on, the blower motor doesn't turn on, and the pass. seat doesn't move at all. Could these be related somehow? When I press the on button on the radio I can hear a clicking noise behind it somewhere if that helps any.

Thanks for any advice.

They sound like three seperate problems to me. The radio clicking may be a relay in the radio that is not working properly. The seat problem may just be the switches, they get build up and do not make connection. Have you checked all the fuses...

Hope this helps

Your blower motor also has a additional 30A fuse located btwn hood alarm switch and strut tower (drivers side of course).

Blower motor problem found, it's the regulator. still no radio. Could that relay be replaced or is it something inside the radio itself?

And could the seat switch be causing no movement at all, usually one would think at least one of the motors would work if there was just some buildup inside the switch. I have checked all the fuses for the seats also.

Thank you for your advice btw

My radio was making the same noise. It was relay chatter...the relay was trying to make. I pulled the radio and the relay is in the middle of two circuit boards (soldered together). I just found one on eBay and replace it...works great now. If you have a meter, you can check for power at the switches. I have had similar problems with no movement and it turned out to be just dirty switches. Are none of the seat switches working...up/down, forward/back, back of seat forward/back? You can take them apart and clean the contacts.
