CE 320
Unhappy rearend ratio CE320

I need to know what part or what ring and pinion from what car I need to use to lower the rearend ratio for my CE320 Auto?

The dealer in Kuwait told me that the ratio now is 3.06

the cruising RPM for 100 Km is 2800 RPM, too much I think and I can hear the motors sound reviving.

I need some help finding lower number than 3.06 from what other car in the junk yard.

Thanks for all.

1990 300CE use 3.27

1993-1995 300E/E320 use 2.65

Not sure what you mean by "lower"

What year is your car? The '94-'95 CE's use the same 2.65 rear end, at least in the US

The 90 C124 should have a 3.07 gear ratio.
The 3.27 was used in the 260E W124 and the S124's.

I'm not sure, and you would know way more about CE's than me, but didn't the '90 CE use the 210MM diff with a 140-350-2723 carrier, 3.27 ratio?

The only rear it came that way?

Then the 91's-'92s had the 3.06.

CE 320
rearend ratio

Thanks boys....

the car 1993, the dealer looked at the VIN # and said that the car had 3.06 at the rearend. I meant by "lower" that I need a ratio less than 3.06
