Liquid leather ruined my seat
I just used "Liquid Leather" to clean the seats of my '94 E320.
As soon as I applied it the grain went black and stayed black!
AAAAaahhhhh!
I stopped straight away but now I have the mess you can see on the left hand side of the photo.
Has anyone else used it or know how to clean off the mess?

Dont know how to get that off, but just a word to the wise, stick to the best products available ESPECIALLY to delicate parts such as leather. I only use Connolly Hide Food. By far the best cleaner/conditioner is what MB uses and sells in their dealerships.
Try using Connolly on that and hope it works.
Good luck.

MBWorld Fanatic!
Don't know if it's the same problem, but I had a similar appearance on the MB-Tex seats of my 300TD ('87). The normal towels/diapers I used to clean the seats couldn't get into the "grain" of the MB-Tex, so they would clean only the surface - and the "grain" would remain dirty.
Found that using a microfiber cleaning cloth (get them through Griot's Garage, other detail supply shops, or even at Pep Boys) worked well. The smaller, finer fibers were able to get down into the grain to remove the dirt. It was necessary to scrub repeatedly, with the direction of scrubbing changing to all directions, in order to be going "with the grain" for all of the different grain directions - but it did work.
It could be that you've got product down in the grain that hasn't been removed. It's always worth a try.
Good luck!

I'd try the leatherique products. Everyone seems to swear by them.
Use the pristine clean product to clean the leather. It will take off dirt that nothing else will.
If the stains won't come out, or if the Liquid Leather took off the dye in the leather, Leatherique sells dye that you can use to re-dye the seats.
I have used it, and the results were perfect. Almost too perfect. My drivers seat turned out soooo good, that the passenger side looks worse in comparison.
