OVP Relay fuse blows
So I was reading posts and saw that an ABS light, rough low idle could be the OVP relay, especially if the car had been jumped. Since they had to jump (93 300E 2.8L) it just to get it off the lot, I went and pulled the relay this morning (10 degrees outside). The fuse was blown, and I had the battery on a trickle (2amp) charge all night. The unit does not look like it could be disassembled easily (PN: 000 540 67 45 or 89 72##000) so I replaced the fuse and tried to start the car. Just a click of what sounded like the starter solenoid. I put the charger on 75amp engine start, still just a click. I pulled the battery and dropped the fuse inside the fuselage so I replaced it, took the battery from my bmw and tried it again... click. I checked the fuse, it had blown immediately.
So, does this automatically mean a new ECU? The car started fine yesterday, just turned over a little slowly. It is a little colder than yeasterday, I think it was 17 when we picked it up.
Thanks again for any advice,
