head gasket repair
can anyone tell me what I should expect to pay for a head gasket replacement for my 93 300e 2.8?
I am pretty handy, can this job be done or is it for pros only?

Just off the top of my head I would have to say to not attempt to do it yourself, but I suppose it all depends on how modest you are being with your statement about being "pretty handy." If what you meant was " I rebuild transmissions in my spare time and have no problem with tearing half of my enigine apart or putting it back together while still retaining the confidence that, when complete, the engine would purr like it did before the gasket blew."
As far as price, I am sure you could get a quote from a shop, but as a guess I would say a grand would be a bargain.
