300CE w/400E suspension for sale
not mine, but it's local to me. I contacted the seller last year when he was selling the original motor mentioning plans for the 500E conversion. Too bad he stopped the project but maybe someone will complete it...

I am a Mercedes Benz technician and this is my almost completed 300CE project car. I had plans to make this a 500CE but simply do not have the time to finish. The body is VERY straight and Orig. Paint is also very good as is the interior. All the front and rear suspension components were replaced with 400E components due to the larger swaybars, brakes, and so on. It has new bilstein shocks. The engine us upgraded to a 1991 300E engine with a larger MBZ catalitic converter. All the parts are direct bolt on items. no mickey mouse stuff. It has a new radiator and many other parts. This vehicle is in running condition now. I have it registered as a planned non op vehicle so the DMV penalties would not stack up. It is about 85% completed and will need the final bugs worked out. It was just aligned but will need tires. When finished it will make a great handling and economical vehicle. The first $3000 takes it away! Tons of extra parts are included too.
