300te performance mods

Apart from the standard K&N filter and new free flowing exhaust anyone got any good ides for increseing the powe from my 87 Euro spec 300TE?
Would the later 24 valve head bolt on?
Anyone converted a 124 to a 420 or 430?
I saw a 300TE on the net with a C36 motor in it.
Any thoughts.
Thanks
Merco

Merco,
AMG manufactured a limited number of W124s called the E36 - essentially an E-class with the same engine as the C36 (a 24-valve, 3.6l 6 cyl engine, ~280hp & 280lb ft). These were available as a saloon, estate, coupe or convertible and were fitted with 17" alloys, lower suspension and a body kit. Some had a twin pipe exhaust (my E36 estate does not).

There were other models also available from AMG - the E43 was certainly available in the US, and some E60 conversions were done.
