Removing pressure pin from chain tensioner housing

Having trouble figuring out how to press the chain tensioner pressure pin through the chain tensioner housing...

Anyone have any ideas as to how I would press it out?

The pin that goes through the center? Just push it through with a screwdriver, it isn't a press fit, you should be able to get it with your finger. That spring keeps it tensioned on the chain its a combo hydraulic/mechanical tensioner. Once you push it through it can be a pain to get it back in but don't use anything to force it like a clamp or press. Only meant to travel one direction FYI towards the chain.

Got it! I just used my finger to push it out. Thanks man!

Nice car by the way...That's the '92 500E? I want one so bad...

What would be an indicator of a damaged pressure pin?

They looked pretty good to me! Wow! I bet that engine is nuts to work on...

Nice paint! Is yours one from the Porsche factory?

Looks like your front bumper is painted? So nice and fresh...
