'86-300E, '62 Porsche 356
climate control

my heat is apparently stuck and its on all the time.. well its spring time and since im at college far away from my mechanic i want to have a temporary solution until i can get it fixed.. how do i turn off my climate controls all together? do i pull a fuse or what? its an 86 300E

I just fixed a similar problem on mine. It was the duovalve internal rubber seal. The US models have a monovalve but it's basically the same thing.
Do a search on "monovalve" and all will be revealed!

well thanks for the info but i wanted to know how to turn everything off.. not fix the problem.. i will let my mechanic fix that

To turn it all off:

Pop your hood, look NEAR the fuse box, its' not in there...it's beside it in a little black box all by itself looks kinda like this: ------[____]------ flip open the cover and uscrew both screws holding the little metal strip (fuse) and remove it. You won't have heat/AC at all until you put it back in...hope this helps...
